Tycho Brahe's Precision Celestial Data
Tycho Brahe
An astronomer of Danish noble descent. He is known for conducting extremely precise and systematic astronomical observations in the era before the invention of the telescope. Through his observations of the 1572 nova (now known as supernova SN 1572) and the Great Comet of 1577, he challenged the traditional Aristotelian view of the heavens. He also proposed the "Tychonic system," in which the Sun revolves around the Earth at the center, while other planets revolve around the Sun. His data was later used by Johannes Kepler in his research on planetary motion, significantly influencing the development of modern astronomy and the Scientific Revolution.
