Paul Flory's Polymer Chemistry
Paul Flory
American chemist. Known as a pioneer in polymer chemistry and polymer physics, he studied the behavior of polymers in solution, molecular chain structures, and polymerization reactions from both theoretical and experimental perspectives. He produced significant achievements such as the Flory-Huggins theory and was awarded the 1974 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his contributions to polymer physical chemistry. He carried out research and educational activities at DuPont, Cornell University, Carnegie Institute of Technology, and Stanford University, among others.
