D-Day Supreme Command, Presidency, and Interstate Highway Network

Dwight David Eisenhower

An American military officer and politician who was the 34th President of the United States. During World War II, he commanded the Normandy landings as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force, and after the war served as the first Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO. As president from 1953 to 1961, he is known for his Cold War policy, interstate highway network development, and warning against the military-industrial complex.
